A Thankful Thanksgiving

•For each new morning with its light, For rest and shelter of the night. For health and food, for love and friends, For everything Thy goodness sends.
~Ralph Waldo Emerson

The past week was a hard one for me and as I woke up on this beautiful Sunday morning I felt that I should let all stress go for a minute and just enjoy all the things I have to be thankful for !
Here are the top 10 things that I am MOST thankful for in my life!

1. Our Heavenly father and savior Jesus Christ.
-I am very thankful to find such an amazing church to be apart of and the Gospel to learn and live by. Also the powers of the Atonement. In 2 Nephi 9:9 it mentions that we would end up with Satan and his angels were there no atonement so this is top of my thankful list!

2. My beautiful family. Every single one of them.
- My husband for all he does for us every single day and being there to comfort me.
- My daughter who has created a whole new perspective on life for me.
- My Daddy for all his support, my mom for all her love, my sisters for being my best friends for life, my brother for constantly making me laugh and always making things fun.
My AMAZING in-laws.
-Tyler's mom, Gerrie is as much my mother now and I love her to pieces for ALL she does for us. She is constantly giving and giving. She is most selfless person I have met. I am also thankful she is such an amazing grandmother to Madison.
Tyler's dad for teaching us so much about anything there is to learn. Tyler's little sis for all her apprecation for the meaning of family.

3. Shelter and a never ending supply of FOOD! (YUM)
- I am so thankful that we were able to purchase a beautiful home this year! I love our neighborhood and the ability to give Maddie a comfortable home to grow up in. It was a huge blessing! I am also thankful that I am able to go to the grocery store and buy food when we need it. It's crazy that we are constantly throwing out left overs and filling our carts with food while there are starving people out there figuring out how they are going to survive. I can't imagine!

4. Health
- Our family has been so blessed that we haven't had any health issues. No one has needed surgery or had a long lasted illness. Madison has always remained extrememly healthy along with Tyler and myself! I know that there are people sitting with their loved ones in hospital rooms as they battle long term diseases and my heart and prayers go out to them.

5. Our military
- I am extremely thankful that we have soliders fighting for our country and our freedom every second of every day. Even though there are a lot of hard times when Tyler is always having to leave, I know it is for good reasons and I am thankful to be apart of that.

6. My generation
-Oh my goodness, I AM SO thankful that I was born when I was! I have the ability to travel to the store in my little car, watch television, use a computer, carry my cell phone around and get a hold of people instantly, use exercise equipment, and also all the advances in medicine. I am sorry, but I don't know how the pioneers did it! They traveled across the country on foot carrying children and belongings. I am sure they were 10x the people that any of us are today but dang!! Talk about strength.

7. Education
-I am thankful that we are all able to get a solid education for ourselves. Every child gets the opportunity to go through 12 years of school and the chance to become someone brilliant. I am thankful for the year I spent at college learning about life and finding out who I really was.

8. My amazing friends
- I grew up in some what of a small town so I am thankful that I was able to grow up with the same awesome group of friends. Some of those friends I have lost touch with and some of them I still talk to every day. But I am thankful for all our great times and the awesome support that gave to me. I am also very thankful for my new friends and how loving they are!

9. My pregnancy
- Being pregnant and going through child birth was such an amazing experience and I am thankful that I was able to do that. I love looking at Maddie and knowing that my body created such a beautiful thing. I loved carrying her for 9 months and I love her even more now!

10. My youth
- I have so many amazing memories thanks to my parents who gave us a great childhood! I am so thankful I was able to partcipate in activites that I know weren't exactly cheap, go on vacations that I will remember forever, all the holidays that my mom made so special for us, and all the fun I had with my siblings! I hope to give Madison the same special memories I was given.

I am happy to now have this on my blog so that on the days that I feel crappy I can look back and read this and know I have SO many things to be thankful for and I am truly blessed.
