Oh the joy of turning 2!

The past couple of weeks I have really been struggling getting through the days with this little munchkin of mine. There are times where I think to myself how blessed I truly am with this beautiful little girl but oh my goodness, I didn't actually take into consideration the meaning of "Terrible 2's" until I saw a sudden change in this household! Tyler and I have been so exhausted latley and I thought it was just because we had taken Maddie out of her crib and into a toddler bed so that meant she was getting in and out of bed all night and then ready to begin her days at 6 A.M.! But that wasn't the only change, all day long she is constantly screaming to get her way, getting into EVERYTHING she can including dog food, lotion, shampoo, my makeup, pens (which yes resulted to her drawing all over our doors), the pantry to get cookies or marshmellows, or taking every single item of clothing out of her dresser drawers! The list goes on! I know every mother out there is probably going through this exact same thing but it is really challenging for me right now! It has always been hard for me to disipline Maddie but latley I have really been sticking to time outs and taking away her favorite toys/binky when she is doing something wrong. So hopefully she calms down soon but if not...then here's to a trial of the wonderful terrible 2's ! Oh and it isn't even her birthday yet! We still have another 3 weeks! ;)

Here she is showing me her art work on the office doors...

Every morning she has dumped out her cereal and whatever else she got out of the pantry (this morning it was marshmellows) onto the couch and floor. Typical 2 year olds doing...

We still love every little inch of her though even if she causes a mess every single second of the day! :)

Anyway, we are so very excited to announce that Tyler will be wrestling again this year for the AirForce wrestling team! He missed last year so we are so happy that he will be able to go out for it this year! It's really fun to be able to watch him compete and the best part is that we will be in our hometown Nampa, ID for at least 4 months while he trains at a facility there in Boise! We really lucked out and my prayers were answered! If he wouldn't have decided to wrestle then he was up for going on a 3 month deployment to Iraq at the end of Novemeber and would have missed Maddie's birthday, thanksgiving, and christmas! But now we get to be home with our families!! :) Tyler is always missing out on holidays and family get togethers so what a blessing for us! We will be making our drive home a few weeks and until then we need to find a housesitter! I am going to miss our new home so much but so happy to say goodbye to the rain!!
